When we started building SmartyMeet, we were solving a problem we'd lived ourselves. As operators and product builders, we had spent years watching the same thing happen in every team we'd been part of: great discussions happening in meetings, followed by mediocre follow-through afterward. The ideas were there. The decisions were made. The execution kept falling short.
The problem wasn't talent or motivation. It was infrastructure. The systems for capturing, distributing, and acting on meeting outputs were built for an era before AI — and nobody had really rebuilt them for this one.
That's the problem we set out to solve. Today, we're announcing that LT Capital is backing us to solve it at scale.
About LT Capital
LT Capital is a Warsaw-based early-stage fund with deep experience in enterprise SaaS and developer tools. Their portfolio spans companies building in automation, data infrastructure, and productivity — all areas with significant overlap with the problem we're attacking.
What drew us to LT Capital beyond the capital itself was their thesis: they believe the next generation of enterprise software is built on AI-native infrastructure, not AI-layered-on-top-of-legacy-workflows. That mirrors exactly how we think about meeting intelligence. Transcription and summaries aren't new features for old meeting tools. They're the core of a new kind of operating system for how teams work.
"SmartyMeet isn't adding AI to meetings. They're rebuilding what it means to have a productive meeting from the ground up. We backed them because we believe they've identified the right abstraction layer — and because the accuracy benchmarks they've already hit are genuinely differentiated." — LT Capital, Partner Note
What We've Built So Far
We've spent the last 14 months in development, most of it in close collaboration with design partners who agreed to use early versions of SmartyMeet in real working environments. That beta period gave us something most early-stage products don't get: genuine stress-testing against real business communication, not just controlled demos.
Here's where we've arrived:
- Transcription accuracy: 22% lower word error rate than leading alternatives on our business-English benchmark suite, with consistent performance across technical vocabulary and domain-specific terminology
- Multilingual support: 45 languages with full speaker diarization — the same accuracy bar across all supported languages
- Integrations: Live connections to Slack, Notion, HubSpot, email, and calendar platforms, with more in active development
- Speed: Post-meeting summaries and action items delivered within minutes of call end, not hours
- Platform support: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, with additional platforms in the pipeline
Where the Investment Goes
We're putting this capital to work in three areas:
Team: We're growing our engineering team with a focus on ML infrastructure and integrations. We're also hiring our first dedicated customer success hire, because we've learned from beta that the teams who get the most from SmartyMeet are the ones who configure it well in their first two weeks.
Product depth: Our roadmap for the next twelve months includes conversation search across the full meeting history, a meeting analytics layer that surfaces patterns across your organization's communications, and deeper enterprise integrations with Salesforce, Jira, and Linear.
Infrastructure: Real-time transcription at scale requires robust infrastructure. We're investing in the systems that will let us support thousands of simultaneous calls without latency degradation — because the worst time to discover a scaling problem is when an enterprise customer is running their all-hands on your platform.
What This Means for Customers
If you're a current beta customer: nothing changes about your access. Your feedback shaped this product and we're grateful. We'll be in touch about the GA launch timeline.
If you're hearing about SmartyMeet for the first time: our beta is opening to a broader set of teams in the coming weeks. If you're tired of meetings that don't lead to action — reach out and we'll get you set up.
Why We're Building This
There are about 55 million meetings happening every day in the United States alone. Across Europe and the rest of the world, the number is an order of magnitude higher. Most of them end with loose action items, incomplete notes, and no reliable path from discussion to execution.
We think that's a solvable problem. Not with better note-taking discipline. Not with more structured meeting formats. With technology that removes the manual handoff between a meeting ending and work beginning.
That's what we're building. And with LT Capital's backing, we're building it faster.
